Police in Newark are investigating several vehicle burglaries that occurred around the city over the weekend.
In one of the incidents, police were called to the vicinity of 40 Richelieu Place after a resident in the upper West Ward community noticed that thieves broke into the car and stole several items.
A crime scene unit was requested to the scene to assist in the investigation.
Residents in the area said it is normal for thieves to hit several vehicles in the area at any given time.
There were no reports of arrests in any of the incidents.
