Police have announced that the 48-year-old autistic man reported missing Sunday from Plainfield has been found.
Sometime after midnight, missing person Vincent Erazo was located. With the help of the Plainfield Mass Communication System which was instituted by the Mapp Administration earlier this year, Vincent was found in New York City.
Plainfield Police Division received numerous leads from this reverse 911 system which were instrumental in finding Mr. Erazo, police said.
Mayor Adrian Mapp would like to thank the members of the Plainfield Police Division, Plainfield Fire Division, New Jersey State Police, New Jersey Search and Rescue Squad, various law enforcement and EMS agencies for their work.
He also would like to thank the citizens of Plainfield for embracing the Plainfield Mass Communication System.
Mr. Erazo is currently being held at an NYC hospital and is in good health, according to police.
