Orange, NJ Police officials swore in three officers this afternoon and committed to sending 11 recruits to the police academy in early 2019.
The Honorable Mayor Dwayne Warren was in attendance for the swearing-in ceremony that had two former East Orange police officers and an alternate route officer take the oath to ’protect and serve’ citizens of the 2.1 square mile city with just over 30 thousand residents according to 2010 census figures.
Officials say the 11 recruits are expected to begin the police academy before February.
