Roselle Police are handling the investigation into a pedestrian strike that has a person seriously injured in the city at this time.
Police were called to the vicinity of 1200 East St. Georges Avenue to investigate reports of an injured person at approximately 5:17 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found an unidentified person lying on the ground suffering severe injuries after a car struck them at that location.
According to preliminary reports, the victim was rushed to the hospital while police requested a fatal accident investigation unit to the scene.
The driver reportedly stayed at the scene.
