Police in Newark are looking into a commercial armed robbery that occurred in the city's North Ward on Sunday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, the incident happened at 1285 NJ-21 just before 8:50 p.m. where police received notification of an armed robbery at gunpoint.
Units arrived at the scene to find employees of the gas station who reported that two black males who wore hoodies arrived at the establishment armed with a weapon when they demanded cash according to reports.
It is not immediately clear how much proceeds the suspects took before they ran from the scene.
One of the suspects reportedly wore all black and a red mask over his face according to authorities.
There were no physical injuries reported.
