Police in the Newark and Elizabeth are on the search for suspects who are wanted for several attempted robberies that occurred in both cities on Saturday night.
According to preliminary reports, an alert to police officers in the region urged them to be on the lookout for suspects who are occupying a white Toyota Highlander with a reported NJ license plate number "M74-HJA" and are armed with guns and are wearing masks as they made their ways around Newark and Elizabeth attempting to rob establishments and pedestrians.
The car was reportedly stolen from an undisclosed location in Elizabeth and last seen on Broad Street in Newark.
Police did not report of the suspects were successful in any of the robberies.
There were no injuries immediately reported.
