Police officials in Newark have launched yet another investigation into a vandalized vehicle that thieves stripped the wheels off of this time near a house of worship in Newark.
What is now being referred to as a "pattern of vandalized vehicles" that began since Thanksgiving Day, thieves have made their way around the city stripping the wheels off of as many as a half-dozen cars -or more- to start the new work week.
In the latest incident, the suspects used the overnight hours to strip a car in the vicinity of 448 South 9th Street. As with previous cases, thieves left the car on cinder blocks before fleeing the scene.
Police still have not reported arrests in any of the incidents at this time.
There is an active and ongoing investigation underway.
