Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Clifton Police Chief Mark Centurione announce that at approximately 4:10 p.m., on Wednesday, police were in the area of Main Avenue, near Clifton Avenue, where a motorcycle was being driven erratically.
Officials say the officers initiated a motor vehicle stop, then the operator of the motorcycle crossed into the opposite lane, and continued to drive erratically.
After that, the motorcycle crashed head-on into a 2013 Toyota Camry being driven by a seventy-five (75) years-old woman from Clifton.
Police say the motorcyclist was transported to Saint Joseph’s Medical Center for treatment, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
Police identified the motorcyclist as Joshua Montan, 20, of Clifton. The driver of the car did not suffer any injuries authorities said.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
