Newark Police are investigating reports of an armed carjacking that occurred at a location in Newark's North Ward Wednesday afternoon.

According to a preliminary investigation, police were called to The Branch Brook Park side of Lake Street and Park Avenue at approximately 3:20 p.m. where they met with the victim who reported that several black males who wore masks stole a 2017 Nissan Rouge at gunpoint.
The vehicle has a reported NJ license plate number "W34-HSD". The suspects were accompanied by red Toyota Camry occupied by black males.
There were no physical injuries reported.
