The Mercer County Prosecutor's Officer has released the identity of the 27-year-old Philadelphia man who died Sunday night after being shot near Trenton Central High School.
According to authorities, police responded to reports of shots fired that erupted on the 100 block of Walnut Avenue sometime around 10:30 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene and found Eric Severino, 27, of Philadelphia, inside a white SUV with a gunshot wound to his chest.
EMS rushed Severino to St. Francis Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
This incident remains under investigation.
Officials say no arrests have yet been made.
