Hudson County authorities are investigating an armed robbery that left a woman injured in Jersey City during the overnight hours.
Police were called to the vicinity of Logan and Wallis avenues after they received reports of an injured person before 2:15 p.m.
Upon officer's arrival, they found a female victim bleeding from the back and neck after an apparent armed robbery went wrong according to preliminary reports.
The victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center where doctors treated her injuries, and she is expected to recover.
Police are on the search for two males who approached the woman and attempted to rob her before they went on a violent attack.
The incident remains under investigation.
