There is an active investigation underway into a shooting that injured two victims in Newark's South Ward Wednesday evening.
Police were called to the vicinity of 272 Lyons Avenue at approximately 7:30 p.m. where officer arrived at the scene and found a gunshot victim.
According to a statement released by police, the male victim was taken to Beth Israel Hospital where his injuries were non-life threatening.
While police investigated at the crime scene, officers were informed of a second victim who arrived at the hospital's emergency department suffering a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Newark Police officials say both victims are in stable condition.
Detectives closed off the area where they searched for evidence to support a motive fo the shooting.
The shooter remains at-large.
