According to officials, on Wednesday, Halloween Day at approximately 7:50 p.m., the Bayonne Police Department responded to an automobile collision at the intersection of Avenue C and 16th Street in Bayonne.
Officials say upon arrival, responding Police Officers found that two automobiles collided at that intersection.
After the collision, one of the vehicles traveled onto the sidewalk, striking and injuring three pedestrians who were all juveniles officials say.
The injured were transported by Emergency Medical Services to the Jersey City Medical Center.
The first pedestrian, age 1, of Bayonne, was treated at the hospital then released while the second pedestrian, age 5, of Bayonne, is in stable condition at the hospital.
Officials say the two pedestrians are brothers who were trick-or-treating with their grandmother at the time of the incident.
Their grandmother was uninjured officials said.
The third pedestrian, age 17, of Bayonne, remains in stable condition at the hospital. He is not related to the other juveniles.
Both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement officers. No charges have been filed against either driver at this time.
The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit is actively investigating this case with assistance from the Bayonne Police Department.
