NJ State Police officials have identified the victim of a fatal pedestrian strike that occurred on the NJ Turnpike early Monday morning
Police say a tractor-trailer fatally struck 21-year-old Tyrell Henry of Paterson after he exited his car in a crossover lane on the New Jersey Turnpike.
According to State Police, Henry was stopped in a crossover section for I-95 and Route 80 on the southbound lane of the turnpike in Ridgefield Park when he apparently walked into a travel lane and was struck by a car carrier, operated by a Patchogue, N.Y., man just before 3 a.m.
The incident remains under investigation.
