An employee at a Wendy's Restaurant suffered severe burns after coming in contact with boiling water last Wednesday night in Middletown.
Police were called to 1450 NJ-35 after they received reports of a person suffering burns at approximately 10 p.m.
According to reports, units arrived at the scene found a female employee burned to the neck, chest, and arms at that location.
EMS transported the victim to Riverview Medical Center where she remains in stable condition according to preliminary reports.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
