Mercer County authorities are investigating a motive for a shooting that left a woman seriously injured in Trenton overnight.
It happened in the vicinity of 210 Home Avenue where police responded to reports of shots fired before 1 a.m.
Units arrived at the scene found a female victim suffering gunshot wounds to several parts of her body according to preliminary reports. EMS rushed the woman to an area hospital where doctors treated her injuries.
Police set up a crime scene in the area where they collected evidence to support a possible for the shooting.
The suspect remains at-large.
