Police in Clifton are on the search for a suspect wanted for an armed carjacking that occurred on the street in Clifton Monday evening.
According to the victim, the incident happened just before 9:55 p.m. near the intersection of Clifton and Van Houten avenues.
Police say a black male suspect armed with a knife took the victims white Mercedes Benz with a NJ license plate number "D45-HBX". The suspect is around the age of 30-years-old-, who wore a white hoodie and blue jeans and approximately 5'10" tall.
Police say the suspect robbed the victim of a wallet, cell phone and groceries.
The incident remains under investigation.
