Police in Kearny are investigating a pedestrian strike that left one person injured in Kearny on Monday night.
According to police, the incident happened in the vicinity of Schuyler and Arlington avenues just before 7:30 p.m. after they received reports of an injured person.
Units arrived at the scene and requested paramedics after finding an unidentified person suffering severe injuries when a vehicle struck them at that location.
EMS transported the victim to an area hospital where doctors began treatment.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene according to reports.
