Police in Trenton are investigating a shooting that left a male injured in Trenton during the overnight hours.
Officials at the Capital Health Regional Medical Center contacted police when the victim entered the hospital's emergency department suffering a gunshot wound just before 1 a.m.
Police are looking into whether the victim was shot during shots fired incident that occurred in the vicinity of Chase Street and Brunswick Avenue.
The extent of the victim's injuries were only reported as non-fatal.
The incident remains under investigation.
