Newark Police are on the search for a suspect who violently stabbed a man after a motor vehicle fender bender that occurred in the city's South Ward on Tuesday morning.
According to a statement released by police officials, the incident occurred at approximately 12:53 a.m. when two vehicles collided in the vicinity of Mapple and Goldsmith avenues.
Police say an argument between the two males escalated with one of the parties producing a sharp item and began to stab the other.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital where he remains in stable condition. Police say the suspect remains at-large.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
