EMS rushed a bicyclist to the hospital after the woman was knocked to the the ground when a car slammed into her on Sunday.
It happened near the intersection of Grove and Nye avenues at approximately 5:45 p.m. we police received reports of an injured person.
Units arriving at the scene found a badly injured woman lying on the ground at that location.
The woman was riding her bike when a car apparently lost control and struck the unidentified woman.
The extent of the woman’s injuries were only reported as severe.
The incident remains under investigation.
