Fire officials in Belleville are investigating a fire that damaged a house in the city on Tuesday night.
Firefighters were called to a residence in the 70's block of Jannarone Street at approximately 8:20 p.m. where they arrived to find thick smoke and heavy flames venting out of the front of the large house.
Crews were able to attack the blaze with the help of Nutley Firefighters and bring the blaze under control in under an hour.
Occupants who reside in the house were able to make it out safely.
A search of the home by firefighters indicated no trapped or injured victims.
The cause of the fire is under review by Bellville Fire officials.
