Two Sought for Questioning in Newark Shots Fired Incident

Police in Newark requests the public’s help in identifying two individuals who are wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting that occurred on Saturday.

According to a statement released by Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose, shortly after 8:20 p.m., police responded to the 200-block of 14th Avenue on a call of shots fired.

Authorities say officers arrived at the scene and observed property damage, but there were no injured victims after the thoroughly canvassed the area.

According to police officials, detectives are seeking to question two individuals who were shot at during this incident and are seeking the public’s assistance in quickly identifying them.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.

Director Ambrose is urging anyone with information about these individuals to call the Department's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477) or 1-877-NWK-GUNS (1-877-695-4867). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
