Newark Public Safety Director Ambrose has announced that Newark officers from every precinct continued importance to reach every neighborhood with community initiatives that create a bond between police and the community at-large.
In this interaction, 3rd Precinct Finest Community Service Officer Y. Graham hosted the 45th Sergeant Class at Kay Christian Place in the Ironbound District on Thursday.
According to Director Ambrose, students designed police caps and learned how to salute when it is proper to salute.
The young “Sergeants” were also advised by Officer Graham on how to become future members of the Newark Police Division.
Director Ambrose also reminds the East Ward community of the police department's barbecue that will take place on August 31st at 214 Pennington Street where all are welcome to attend.
