Police conducted a crash investigation on a highway in Wayne after a pursuit resulted in a crash that left the rider injured overnight.
It happened before 10:30 p.m. where police attempting to pull over a motorcycle when the rider sped away from officers according to preliminary reports.
Police followed the motorcycle to the area of NJ-23 and I-80 eastbound where the motorcyclist lost control and crashed at that location.
EMS rushed the rider to St. Joseph's Hospital where doctors treated serious injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
