There is an active investigation underway into the motive for a stabbing that left a person injured in Paterson early Sunday morning.
Officials at St. Josephs Hospital contacted police when a person suffering a stab injury walked into the hospital's emergency department suffering a stab wound at approximately 4:20 a.m.
The victim reported to police that he was attacked in the vicinity of 21st Avenue and Summer Street before coming to the hospital.
According to reports, the victim is around the age of 17-years-old and possibly lives in the area where the attack happened.
The victim's injuries were not reported as life-threatening.
