Suspect Wanted for Questioning for Allegedly Beating Woman in the Head in Newark

Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Jennifer Allen, 27, who is being sought for questioning in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred on July 16th.

According to officials, at approximately 4:15 p.m., police responded to the 500-block of South 18th Street on a call of an aggravated assault. A woman was struck in the head with an unknown object by a female suspect following a quarrel.

Police say the victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and released.

Detectives investigating this incident are actively seeking to question Allen. Police described her as 5’11” tall and 130 lbs., with brown and black hair and brown eyes.

Police say is known to frequent 15th Avenue and South 18th Street.
