UPDATE: Six Individuals Indicted in Double Homicide of Philadelphia Men in Trenton

Trenton

A Mercer County grand jury returned a 14-count indictment this week charging six individuals in a January 2018 shooting that killed two Philadelphia men and injured a third, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported.

According to authorities, Lakeisha Hill, 29, Shaquille McNeil, 24, Tashawn Santiago, 25, Cecil Blake, 31, were each indicted on two counts of first-degree murder, one count of first-degree attempted murder, and numerous weapons offenses. All four remain incarcerated.

The indictment also charges Felicita Gee, 43, Fantasia Gee, 24, Hill and Santiago with one count of third-degree hindering apprehension for giving false information to law enforcement officers.

Officials say on January 22nd, at approximately 2:20 p.m., Trenton police were dispatched to the 300 block of Washington Street on a report of shots fired. Responding officers were then directed to the 300 block of Ashmore Avenue where they located two black males unconscious and unresponsive in a black Ford Taurus that was parked and idling. Both victims were transported to the hospital where they were pronounced dead a short time later.

Police identified them as 25-year-old Jerard Perdomo-Santana and 19- year-old Ivan Rodriguez. A third victim who suffered gunshot wounds to his left shoulder and left hand drove himself to the hospital and was later located by officers.

The indictment is a result of an investigation by the Mercer County Homicide Task Force, specifically lead investigator Michael Hughes of the New Jersey State Police. Assistant Prosecutor Stacey Geurds presented the case to the grand jury.

Despite having been indicted, every defendant is presumed innocent until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
