Newark – Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontoura’s Crime Stoppers Program is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual or individuals responsible for the death of Nellie Marquez, 55, of Newark.
Authorities say on July 14th, Ms. Marquez was found unresponsive in her apartment located at 130 Dayton Street suffering from blunt force trauma.
Medical personnel Ms. Marquez dead at the scene.
Ms. Marquez lived in a senior apartment complex and was known as a model tenant police said.
Ms. Marquez was a part of the tenant association and respected by her neighbors, according to detectives handling the investigation.
