Jersey City authorities are on an active search for a dark-colored vehicle -possibly a 2004 Maxima- and a grey colored Jeep Patriot that were both observed speeding away from the scene of a shots fired incident that connected on two victims in the city overnight.
It happened in the 100 block of Wilkinson Avenue at approximately 12:20 a.m. where reports of shots fired sent police to the scene according to reports.
Units arriving at the scene found two victims suffering gunshot injuries according to reports.
The pair were transported to Jersey City Medical Center where they were listed in stable condition as of 3:30 a.m. reports said.
Police say the suspected vehicles were observed speeding into Kearny shortly after the shooting.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
