EMS rushed a woman and a child to University Hospital after a car reportedly struck them on a street in Newark this evening.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Avon Avenue and South 19th Street just before 5:15 p.m. where police found the woman and the child.
The severity of their injuries are not reported as life-threatening at this time.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
Police are actively investigating.
