Police established a crime scene in the vicinity of Avon Avenue near South 17th Street as they investigated a crash that involved a van and a motorcycle that occurred during the Monday overnight hours.
Emergency responders were called to the area after they received reports of a crash with injuries just before 9:50 p.m.
Upon their arrival, they found a motorcyclist suffering serious but non-life threatening injuries at that location.
The victim was transported to University Hospital where doctors treated his injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
