Due to high temperatures and a lack of air conditioning, schools in the Newark district will be dismissing students early Monday.
The district’s posted the following message in their website:
1PM DISMISSAL, MONDAY, JUNE 18, 2018
“Due to extreme heat, NPS students will be dismissed early at 1pm today, June 18th. All after-school activities at NPS facilities are cancelled. School staff will remain on-site until students have identified a safe passage home. All NPS graduations will proceed as scheduled.”
Along with early dismissals, all after school activities are also cancelled.
