There are life-threatening injuries for a man found stabbed at a location in Newark's West Ward early this morning -Thursday-.
According to preliminary reports, police rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a stabbing in progress that occurred in the vicinity of Tremont and Cedar avenues shortly before 4:30 a.m.
Units arriving at the scene found the critically injured male victim suffering multiple stab wounds to several parts of his body.
EMS rushed the victim to University Hospital where doctors began treating the man's injuries.
The motive for the stabbing remains under investigation.
There were no arrests immediately reported.
