Police in Newark are on the search for a man that took several items from a Home Depot store in Newark Tuesday afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, the suspect entered the store that's located on Springfield Avenue and took over a thousand dollars worth of items shortly before 4 p.m.
Police say the suspect is a chubby white or Hispanic male who had tattoos on both arms.
The suspect is approximately 5'10" tall and was last seen wearing a grey shirt, dark grey pants, and fled the scene in a blue Honda Civic with a missing bumper and a cracked windshield according to police.
The investigation remains active police said.
