Newark Police issued a warrant for the arrest of Timothy Montgomery, 57, wanted for the violation of a final restraining order on Thursday, May 31, 2018.
Police say the suspect and the victim had a brief dating relationship but when it ended, the victim was granted a final restraining order against Montgomery which he violated.
Detectives from the Special Victims Section investigating the incident secured a warrant for Montgomery’s arrest according to police.
While police are actively searching for Montgomery, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating him.
