Authorities reported non-life threatening injuries for a pedestrian struck by a car that left the scene in the city's Ironbound section Friday afternoon.
According to authorities, police were called to the 200 block of Ferry Street -near Niagra Street- after receiving reports of an injured person.
Upon their arrival, police found the unidentified person suffering minor injuries after a car struck them then drove away from the scene authorities said.
There was no description of the suspected vehicle immediately released by police.
Newark Police are continuing to investigate.
