Firefighters in Trenton swiftly knocked down a fire that ignited inside a residence in the city Wednesday night.
According to officials, the fast morning fire broke out at 164 Cleveland Avenue at around 8:45 p.m. sending firefighters to the scene where they observed heavy smoke coming from the second floor of the two-story wood framed house.
Crews were able to knock down flames then search the house for trapped and injured occupants that came back negative.
The Trenton Fire Marshal was called to the scene to assist in the investigation.
The cause remains unknown.
