Police in Newark are investigating what caused a car to crash then overturn in Newark's South Ward overnight.
Firefighters and rescue crews responded to reports of a crash with possibly trapped occupants in the vicinity of West Runyon Street and Seymour Avenue at approximately 1:20 a.m.
Upon their arrival, they observed a badly damaged vehicle that overturned at that location.
Firefighters did not find trapped occupants in the vehicle, but at least one person was transported to the hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
