Middlesex County Authorities Investigate Three-Alarm New Brunswick Fatal House Fire

Middlesex County authorities are looking into a fire that caused fatal injuries in New Brunswick overnight.

Heavy fire ripped through a two and a half story wood framed house located in the 200 block of Seaman Street sending a large firefighter response to the scene just before 10 p.m.

According to preliminary reports, firefighters arriving at the scene were informed that there were possible trapped occupants inside the burning structure.

Crews were able to knock the blaze down swiftly, but a search of the house had firefighters locate two victims suffering severe injuries reports.

Both unidentified victims were rushed to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center where there was a confirmation of one fatality. Officials reported the second victim as life-threatening.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
