A two-car crash that left two vehicles damaged on McCarter Highway in Newark is under investigation.
There were no severe injuries reported for the crash that happened just under the I-280 Bridge where fast responding Newark firefighters and emergency responders arrived at the scene and began to search for victims.
Police closed off a portion of the roadway due to the crash so that crews could move the vehicles from the highway; this caused some significant delays.
The impact of the crash had one of the vehicle's at a total loss according to on the scene reports.
The Newark Police Department will handle the crash investigation.
