EMS transported one person to an area hospital after a vehicle stuck them near a supermarket in Elizabeth early this morning -Sunday-.
According to preliminary reports, police and EMS were called to the vicinity of North Avenue and Newark Avenue before 2:50 a.m. to investigate reports of a person down at that location.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene to find the unidentified person suffering injuries after a vehicle struck reports said.
Elizabeth authorities have launched an active and ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident.
