An 83-year-old Waldwick woman killed in a three-alarm fire Tuesday has been identified.
According to authorities, firefighters responded to a Van Court home around 6:40 p.m. for a report of house fire.
Responding crews arrived to a full engulfed residence. Officials said despite crews efforts to place fire under control, the home suffered severe damage in the three-alarm fire.
Authorities said once firefighters gained entry into the home they rescued Valentina Turley - who succumbed to her injuries - and her husband, who sustained minor injuries.
A preliminary investigation indicates that an unattended candle may caused the fire.
