The community policing division in Newark spent the day with children who wanted to create a memorable moment for their moms on this Mother's Day.
According to police officials, on Friday, the division responded to the recreation room at 11 Hawkins Court where Sgt. Spencer and CRO Reed joined Ms. Lucia and children of Hyatt Court to help them prepare for Mother’s Day.
Officials say the children decorated balloons and cards and were given gifts by Newark Police to deliver to their mothers.
Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose wishes a Happy Mother's Day to all moms in The City of Newark.
Director Ambrose also encourages the community to assist officers in ridding the city of criminal activity by becoming partners and reporting incidents to the department early and often.
