There is an active investigation underway as police look into a shooting that left a male victim severely injured overnight in Trenton.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity or Perry and North Broad Street to investigate reports of shots fired that rang out at approximately midnight.
Upon their arrival, they found the victim struck multiple times by gunfire according to reports.
EMS rushed the victim to the hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition.
Police canvassed the area for evidence to support a motive for the shooting.
There were no immediate reports of arrests made.
