The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that a six-year-old child has died after falling from a window in Newark’s West Ward.
According to authorities say the girl was rushed to the hospital after she somehow fell from the third floor window.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the Utopia Apartments located in the 300 block of 14th Avenue at approximately 11:45 p.m. after they received reports of an injured person.
There is an active and ongoing investigation.
