The pilot of a small plane that crashed in a wooded area in Passaic County this afternoon has.
According to authorities, the single-engine private plane reportedly departed from Greenwood Lake Airport in West Milford sometime around 2:30 p.m. before it crashed into a wooded area.
Officials said the crash caused a small brush fire.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The pilot was the only occupant inside the plane at the time of the crash.
