The cause of a commercial fire that tore through stores at a strip mall in Jackson Township is under investigation.
There were no injuries reported in the late-night multi-alarm fire that ignited inside several stores located at 400 S. New Prospect Road just before 10:30 p.m.
Crews arrived to find heavy fire tearing through the dollar store and extending to other stores at the strip mall prompting to activate three-alarm for assistance.
Crews were able to find the seat of the fire while beating down flames inside a trophy store according to preliminary reports.
The fire was brought under control in about an hour with the cause under investigation.
