There were non-life threatening injuries reported for the victim of a crash that caused a vehicle to overturn on an Elizabeth Street this morning -Sunday-.
According to preliminary reports, emergency responders rushed to the intersection of Bellvue and Vine streets after receiving reports of a crash with possible trapped occupants inside a vehicle at approximately 10:35 a.m.
Rescue Crews arriving at the scene found two vehicles involved in a collision with one of the cars overturned at that location.
Elizabeth Firefighters extricated an injured person from the overturned vehicle upon their arrival.
The victim was transported to University Hospital in Newark for treatment according to reports.
The crash caused a minor fluid and debris to spill onto the roadway which prompted police to block traffic to the intersection temporarily.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
