Police in Asbury Park are investigating a stabbing incident that left one person injured at a location in the city.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the 400 block of 4th Avenue shortly before 9:30 p.m. after they received reports of an injured person.
Upon their arrival, police found the unidentified victim suffering a stab injury at that location.
EMS rushed the victim to an area hospital where the extent of their injury was only reported as severe.
The motive for the stabbing remains under investigation.
There were no reports of arrests.
